FIGHT FOR YOUR DREAMS

One of the testimonies that continues to inspire me comes from one of my spiritual daughters, Pastor Samantha Wedlund. Born in Jamaica, she came to Canada and faced all kinds of challenges—financial hardship, cultural adjustments, and repeated closed doors. Life wasn’t easy, but she never quit on her dream. Year after year, Samantha would bring her dream board to church, and I would pray over it. She believed that God would
fulfill what He showed her. I believe someone reading this needs to revisit their dreams, just like she did. Maybe others have doubted you—or maybe it’s your own thoughts or familiar spirits whispering that your dreams are too big. But today, I declare: the old place is not your address anymore. God has mountains, rivers, and nations waiting for you to cross. There are place to encounter, dreams to materialize, and destinies to fulfill.

The old you is buried, and the renewed you is rising. Samantha once studied bookkeeping but struggled to find and maintain clients—because of different obstacles. But instead of giving up, she boldly stepped out and started her own business. I remember her sharing how she attended my School of Business, and had $18,000 in debt, and was very depressed.
But while listening to the teaching, something ignited in her spirit. With nothing but faith and a single idea, she registered her business and began braiding hair out of her home. I watched her go from house to house, building relationships and pushing forward with unshakable faith.

In the early days, when all she had was a dream, she would print business pamphlets with her prices and walk the streets of Kelowna, praying fervently. She declared with conviction, clients are coming! And remarkably, just a few days after that bold declaration, she landed her first big contract worth $5000. Since then, her business has been a testament to God’s faithfulness, putting shame to the devil’s plans.
And today, she runs a successful hair and beauty business in a mall with several staff. A woman who once couldn’t find a job is now an employer, a leader, and an inspiration to many. My friend, you’ve got to fight for your dream. You must punch through devils, push past discouragement, silence doubt, and say to yourself, “I will not quit on the dream God has given me.” Pastor Samantha is more than a testimony—she’s a walking inspiration. And now, she empowers many young women to dream again, believe again, and move forward in faith.
